How to handle xmi files.
The XMIT format is a very old and well-established method for transmitting data between zOS systems. XMIT datasets are created using the TSO XMIT command, and rebuilt using the TSO RECEIVE command.
So to get the XMI formatted files from this website, do as follows:
- Download the file to a PC.
- Upload the file to a zOS system, the receiving dataset must be record format FB, record length 80 and should have blksize 3120 or 6240.
- In the zOS system use the TSO command RECEIVE INDA(the-upload-dataset-name), reply as appropriate.
